2020/21 Beginning Teachers Conference has ended
These online sessions were conducted on January 9 and 16, 2021. Many of these sessions will be recorded by the ATA staff for posting to various online collaboration, social media services, and platforms for use by ATA members and the general public. The recordings will be available on these services and platforms until at least (June 30, 2021). Please note that this session’s recording may be housed on servers outside Canada and beyond the ATA’s control. Your participation in this session is voluntary and indicates your consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information during the session under the provisions of the Personal Information Protection of Alberta (PIPA). Participants will have an opportunity to use tools and resources that can be easily incorporated into tasks designed to engage learners in a meaningful way. A curated set of tools including, but not limited to, G Suite (including Google Classroom, Forms, and Docs), Mentimeter, PollEverywhere, ED Puzzle, Padlet, Quizizz, Flip Grid, and website resources including podcasts and Ted Talks will be discussed and practical examples provided. From the session, participants will take away a set of innovative ideas for incorporating digital tools into their practice.
